There have been numerous rumors about Asus Padfone specs, appearance and many OS it’s run on, but MWC 2012 unveiled the final(and the best, though) form: here is what we’ll see coming in April: a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED qHD display, a 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 with Adreno 225 GPU, with an F2.2 "5-element" lens camera!
What excites us most is what Asus means by “1 SIM for 3 devices” – quite fairly considered to be a Transformer Prime prototype, the phone docks into a tablet body and moreover, plugs into a keyboard dock. Despite this attractiveness, the most unexpected stylus headset is present, letting note enthusiasts to use the tablet form as a virtual sketchpad and moreover, works as a headset for when you receive phone calls. During the keynote Asus CEO Jonney Shih attempted to assure that we won’t be bizarrely talking into a pen, there's actually a microphone and a speaker in it.
As for the OS, Android $ is said to be what will power the Asus Padfone, but there has been no notice on which version of Google mobile OS it will be, hopefully we will see an Ice Cream Sandwich at least.
To sum up, what Asus attempts to achieve with the device is to gain a portion of market share in a newly-emerged smart hybrid device market, and will definitely have to face Samsung’s Galaxy Note head to head.
